Introduction
Triathlon, a sport that combines swimming, cycling, and running, demands high levels of endurance and resilience from its athletes. For American male triathletes, the challenge of maintaining peak performance over extended periods is compounded by the need to manage fatigue effectively. This article presents findings from a six-month randomized controlled trial that explored innovative sports medicine approaches to enhance endurance and reduce fatigue among this group.
Study Design and Methodology
Our study involved 100 male triathletes aged 25-45, divided equally into a control group and an intervention group. The intervention group received a comprehensive sports medicine program tailored to enhance endurance and reduce fatigue. This program included personalized training schedules, nutritional guidance, and specific recovery techniques. The control group continued their regular training without additional interventions. Both groups were monitored monthly for changes in performance metrics and fatigue levels.
